Document Search

The first thing every repatriate does is to start searching for documents along his Jewish line. It is necessary to collect indisputable evidence of the presence of Jewish roots up to the third generation. This is easier to do if the family has not lost touch with the ancestors.

But many Jews in the last century changed their nationality in documents, moved, changed names and surnames, and even burned old documents. This greatly complicates the search, and you have to collect information bit by bit.

Passing a consular check
