WordScrapple for PC

Objective:
The objective is to form as many 4-letter words, as possible, within 120 seconds, from sets of 8-letter tiles presented randomly during the game. Each round requires the player to select 4 letters from the set of 8 letters, in order to form three (3), 4-letter words. After 3 words are attempted in a round, the player continues the game by selecting another round of 8 letters. The word created by the player is displayed real-time, at the lower section of the screen. After forming the word, the player should touch the [SUBMIT] button to verify if the word is one of 6 secret words defined by the game. The player receives 100 points for each secret word uncovered. The session ends when the 120-second timer ends with an applause. The player is then instructed to touch the [START] button to enjoy another game. The challenge is to beat your prevailing high score during each subsequent game.

How to Play

The Home Page
Wait until the animated presentation ends, then touch the desired language (English or Spanish) to play the game. You have 120 seconds to complete each session.

The Game Page
A set of eight (8) letter tiles are presented randomly on-page to the player, and four -Xs- are presented below the 8 letters in white rectangular boxes. You must select 4 letters from the set of 8 letters above, to form a word beginning with the letter suggested by the game. The word is displayed in the white box below. You should then touch the [SUBMIT] button to verify the word is one of 6 secret words expected by the game. If you correctly form one of the 6 secret word, you will hear a pleasant chime and awarded 100 points. An ineligible word receives a beep and no points. The program determines the eligible secret words. Touch [NEXT] to form additional words and touch [SUBMIT] to verify them.

You may touch [RESET] to erase an incorrectly spelled word. This must be done before touching the [SUBMIT] button. Then, select the correct 4 letters to form the desired word and touch [SUBMIT]

The Score
After forming each secret word, your current score is updated by 100 points and displayed above the set of 8-letter tiles. The prevailing high score is also displayed at the top of the page, along with the game timer.

The Timer
After 120 seconds, the game ends with an applause. The High Score and the Player Score are clearly displayed at the top of the page. The High Score will remain visible until the application is removed from the device. You are encouraged to play another game.
