First step: determining the category of the American visa

Your next steps depend on the type of US visa. In order to do this correctly, it is worth deciding exactly on the purpose of your trip to America. At the same time, remember that a visa to America is issued for up to 10 years.

Are you visiting relatives? Consider a visitor visa. Want to see what America is doing? The common B-1/B-2 tourist visa is suitable here. Going to a temporary job? Choose the right type of American work visa. If you are going to bring a child with you, please note that in the US visa system they are on an equal footing with adults. The only difference is that children under the age of 14 are not interviewed.

What documents to carry with you?

A modest list of required papers includes:

International passport;

Certificate from work / place of study;

Certificate of marriage and children;

Bank account statement;

Old passports:

An invitation or message explaining the purpose of the trip.

Photos at the embassy are not required for a long time, they are uploaded in digital format when filling out the questionnaire. The photo must be in color, 5 x 5 cm in size.
