P10 DMD - Make Display Easy for PC

Display any monochromatic text, images on your 3x2 P10 dot matrix display board with this Android app.
Your put text in any language on this P10 dmd. This Android app takes any image, converts it in to grayscale mode. Then the upon the selected cropped image it makes four equal parts. Converts each part to black & white mode with a user given threshold value. Then it joins these image parts and generates the hex code.

On clicking the send button, the wifi connected app (with the P10 board system) sends the hex code to the P10 system. Data are transferred each packet by packet. Total twelve packets are sent. Upon sending all the packets Acknowledment is shown and a "Finalize" button appears. At the same time the new display item starts scrolling the board. If you are satisfied with the displayed matter you can click finalize buuton to add it to the display queue. You can also same the item on clicking the "Save" button.

Later when you will open the app, these saved item will appear on the screen on clicking the "Load Hex" button.

Basic Operations:
Swith on the wifi of your Android set.
Connect to the Wifi AP of the P10 System with the given password.

Open your TheP10Helper android app. This will connect to your P10 system with the specified ip address.

Steps for parting image text on a p10 dmd board through thep10helper:
Step1:
Click load Image
Select an image from gallery or any location. The image should be suitable for monochromatic view.

Next page will open

Step2:
Select the area of the image to shown on the 3x2 P10 dmd block. This is done by dragging fingure on the image.
*Convert to grayscale check box should be selected.

Step3:
Click on Crop
The selected portion of the image will be cropped in gray scale mode and will be shown below the crop button.

Step4:
Now divide the copped gray scale image portion into 4 equal parts. Press the Divide button.
The cropped image will be divided in four equal parts and shown in the list below.

Step5:
Enter suitable threshold value(from 0 to 255) and convert the image to black & white mode.
You can reenter the threshold value and check whether the convertion is suitable or not.

Step6:
After converting all the four image division into black & white mode click PutAllTogether.

Step7:
Image parts will be added together and at the same time hex code will be generated.

Step8:
Now three buttons will appear. Save button will make you save the image hex code. Click Send button to send the hex code to P10 board. After you are satisfied with the display, press the finalize button to add it to the P10 Systems memory.
