For those who mainly play 4-ball billiards, 3-ball three-cushion billiards, or pocketball, this game may be a bit unfamiliar.

However, the six-ball billiards game is a billiards game that was enjoyed a lot by office workers in the 80s and 90s.
As the word “sixball” suggests, it is a billiards game played with six balls.

1. Ball type and starting method

It consists of 2 white balls, 1 black ball, 1 red ball, 1 yellow ball, and 1 blue ball.
As with the 4-ball, hit the white balls alternately (one empty ball and one blank ball).
The first target ball must be black.


The white, red, yellow, and blue balls each have a set number of points, and the black ball that hits first and the second ball that hits the ball earns points for each color.

(white ball 2 points, red 3 points, yellow 5 points, blue 10 points)

for example,

1) If you hit the black ball and then the blue ball, you get 10 points.
2) If you hit the black ball and then the red ball, you get 3 points.

It's like this.

If you hit a black ball, you must hit only one colored ball, and if you hit two balls, it is invalid.

(However, if the black ball matches the white (2 points) and red (3 points) balls, 2+3 = 5 points, and no turn is passed.)

Even if you only hit the black ball and fail to hit the other balls, it is invalid and the turn passes to your opponent.

If you can't even hit the black ball, or if you hit a ball other than the black ball, you're out.

2. Damasu

The score you have to give is
My 4-ball Damasu + 190 points.


for example,
If you hit 4-ball Damasu 100, you can place 290, and if you hit 150, you can place 340.


Oh, the balls are worth 2 points, 3 points, 5 points, and 10 points.
You can score points by guessing the ball: 20, 30, 50, or 100.


3. Description of loss and score of loss

If there are 5 players
Before the game, mix up 10 cards and place them in the corner of the pool table.

(Usually, we use all 1 to 10 cards and choose from them, but we only have 5 people.
I only picked 6. Usually, you start with a hand of +1 for the number of people, but one hand is a bonus hand, so you can use the bonus hand when trying to revive after dying.)


Now, decide the order using rock, paper, scissors, etc.
You take the cards in that order.

​After shuffling, place the tiles 1, 2, ... 6, and take the tile that matches your number.

If you look at your hand and score points equal to the number of cards in your hand, you win the game.

for example,
If your current score is 100 points and you get a Hwatu card of 5, you win by earning 50 more points.

You don't show your hand to the other person, only you see it.

The reason is that if the opponent knows your hand, he can Gensei, making it difficult to obtain the remaining points.


4. Precautions

You must hit the black ball first,

If you don't hit the black ball, you die. If you die, you lose the game, but you can respawn once per game.

(Sixball is usually played as a betting billiards game, so you have to pay a game fee when you revive. If you don't want to pay a game fee, you can just die and lose the game.)

Since six-ball is played with multiple balls, the black ball is often hidden behind other balls. In this case, you need the ability to hit the black ball using a cushion. Those who are good at hitting three pitches will likely have an advantage.

Also, if you are in a situation where you cannot make the score you need to make, or if you exceed the score,
This also means dying, and just like if you don't hit the black ball, you can either be resurrected by paying a resurrection fee or drop out of the game.

You can only be resurrected once, and if you die twice, you cannot be resurrected and must exit the game.


5. Set the game fee

The game fee is up to you.
If the game fee is 1,000 won, each participant pays 1,000 won before the game starts, and the person who wins the game takes the game fee.
To resurrect in the middle, you have to pay 1,000 won, which is also taken by the winner.
