What is PoStRing?
PoStRing is a location-based SNS. It's not solely for location sharing.

By linking location and messages (referred to as Rings), PoStRing allows posting and viewing Rings within 500m. It's designed to foster connections among those sharing common experiences or favorite places, potentially reducing conflicts on social media.

How does it work?
When you launch the app, you can't post or view Rings around Tokyo Station unless you are currently at Tokyo Station. However, if you previously saved the location of Tokyo Station as a FavoriteLocation, you can post and view Rings around Tokyo Station from anywhere. For example, if you saved Tokyo Station as a FavoriteLocation, you can post and view Rings around Tokyo Station even if you're in Sapporo or New York.

Additionally, if you find a Ring in Sapporo you'd like to share with friends in Shibuya, saving Shibuya allows you to repost the Sapporo Ring there (Chain).

What else can you do?
You can send/receive DirectMessages, attach images to Rings/DMs, add people to your friend list, report inappropriate content, and block/unblock users.

The Right to Be Forgotten
Mistakes happen. It's human. What matters is learning and growing. To facilitate this, PoStRing deletes all Rings/DMs every Wednesday at 0:00 (Japan time), akin to spoken words fading from memory over time.
