Welcome to our Chinese-English bilingual podcast! This is a true Chinese-English bilingual podcast hosted by native Chinese speaker Sid and native English speaker Kat. Through a lot of experience of living in each other's country and learning each other's language, we found that many topics about our two countries stay in a relatively shallow place or have a certain one-sidedness. We hope that our discussion can be more in-depth and comprehensive, and can resonate with everyone, after all, these two different cultures play a very important role in our lives.
Another very obvious feature of our podcast is of course bilingual! While it's an unusual way to podcast that both parties are speaking to each other only in their native language, we can really make it seamless. For those who are learning English or Chinese, they can use the language they are familiar with as a clue to keep up with our dialogue content and storylines to understand our bilingual dialogue at a natural speed. In our experience, podcasts are one of the great ways to learn a foreign language. And, our podcasts won't lose your interest in learning languages ​​like a normal language class! Rest assured, while it can be a great language learning resource, we won't be interspersed with substantive dry instruction. Although it is 50% Chinese and 50% English, it is definitely 100% natural, smooth and interesting everyday conversation. If you happen to understand both Chinese and English, then you can treat it like any other normal podcast you listen to!
So what are we going to talk about? We have a background in making interesting videos about interesting cultural differences and anecdotes, documentaries, travel, couples, lifestyle and more. But the video has a strict time limit, and we often have no way to discuss some of the things we talked about in depth. But here, it gives us unlimited possibilities! We can go deeper into the things mentioned in previous videos, and of course we will add more new topics, such as behind-the-scenes of new media, current affairs, food and other aspects.
