Sadly in today’s world, if you’re not wealthy or famous you’re most likely going to be ignored. When a person’s voice is ignored for too long, frustration naturally builds up. Fairtalk hopes to alleviate this growing frustration by providing a platform that gives everyone an equal opportunity to participate in discussions. But to successfully provide a platform like this, we should first identify some of the biggest issues with other social media platforms and then find a solution to solve each one of those issues.

• On other social media platforms, you'll often find a traditional "following" system. Although this system serves its own purpose and has its own benefits, it unfortunately guarantees inequality. A person who is a well-known public figure will always have more influence and gain more followers over someone who isn't as often recognized in public. This would give all the attention to only a small percentage of individuals and silence everyone else. We already have thousands of platforms that do exactly just that. And if our goal is to provide a fair platform which gives everyone an equal chance of being heard, we had no choice but to remove the traditional "following" system that can often be found on other social media platforms.

• On Fairtalk, every user remains anonymous. Although every account still has an option to upload a profile picture, we will never verify that the person on the profile picture is you. Keeping all users anonymous will certainly not benefit public figures or wealthy individuals but will once again benefit the majority. Since we're living in a worshipping era, we unfortunately only put people such as politicians, billionaires, actors, models, sport figures, etc. at the forefront of public attention. And if you're not apart of this small group of people, you'll automatically be ignored. By keeping every user anonymous, we ensure that everyone (regardless of wealth or social status) has an equal chance of participating in discussions.

• On other social media platforms, it is very easy to manipulate the voting metrics. All you have to do is create a new email address and then sign up to that platform with your new email address. Now you have two accounts under the control of one single individual and it doesn't simply stop with two accounts.To fix this issue, we've come up with a very simple solution, Fairtalk has implemented a system which gives every single account an option to become verified. It is not mandatory to verify your account but it is only verified accounts that are allowed to perform certain actions (such as voting on other posts). Implementing this simple verification system is beneficial because it allows us to visualize voting results much more accurately and it can also help everyone get a better sense of what the majority of us really think.

Although all of these issues do exist, it's still very easy to understand why they haven't been fixed yet. Let's say you started a new business and you need to make a secondary account on a specific platform, wouldn't it be fair for you to have the freedom to create that secondary account? Of course the answer is likely yes, it would be fair. And we also understand that there's always going to be a demand for social platforms where you can share pictures about your life, connect with your friends, etc. These social platforms are being used by billions of people for a very good reason and they're definitely not going anywhere. Fairtalk's purpose isn't to replace any of these platforms because we simply do not offer the same kind of service. Instead, what Fairtalk offers is a new method of communication between all of us where each person is only allowed to vote once for every post. This makes Fairtalk very similar to an election or democracy but instead of voting for a politician or buffoon to represent you, we're instead voting for the best ideas and messages that were shared on the platform.
