Control the old man's movements and actions using arrow keys to move up, down, left, or right. With each press of an arrow, he takes a step and swings his pickaxe in that direction, breaking through the rock barriers that stand in his way. The cave is laid out on a grid, with each block of rock requiring a specific number of hits to break - four hits for a simple pickaxe, three for a reinforced one, and so forth.

As you chip away at the blocks, coins are collected - each block destroyed gives one coin, tallying up in a counter at the corner of the screen. Your primary goal is to cleverly navigate the grid and locate the hidden treasure in each level, which rewards you with a bounty of 50 coins. Successfully finding the treasure unlocks the next level, offering new challenges and more intricate cave layouts.
