Nacido en Vega Baja, Puerto Rico el 13 de agosto de 1995, Denis Omar Aponte Rivera,
conocido como OMY DE ORO sintió un amor por la música desde muy joven edad.
Comenzó su carrera artística por la plataforma Freestyle Mania en donde subió videos
de él enseñando su talento con el freestyle rapping. De ahí en adelante, Omy empezó
enfocarse en el género del trap latino.
Omy comenzó el año 2020 con el pie derecho. El artista presento varios espectáculos
alrededor de Puerto Rico y una presentación en San Francisco, California. En enero de
2020, tuvo la oportunidad de tomar el escenario de CaliBash Los Ángeles junto a Bad
Bunny y Shooter Ledo para interpretar su hit “Subimos De Rango”. Su ascendente
popularidad en el mundo de la música latina no solo ha alcanzado millones de
reproducciones en sus canciones sino que también como uno de los ”5 Latinx Artists to
Watch in 2020” por la revista Forbes.
El resto del año sera digno para Omy De Oro. Actualmente, se encuentra preparando
colaboraciones nuevas y finalizando los últimos detalles se du EP, “El Rey del
Punchline”, cual estará estrenando muy pronto.
