Sierraflixx is a streaming platform created by two young Sierra Leoneans, Idrissa Barry Jalloh and Fatu Kamara. It is an Over-the-Top (OTT) media service, which means it is offered directly to viewers via the internet¹. The company is registered in both the United States and Sierra Leone, with operations and management rooted solely in Sierra Leone.

The platform is designed to be 25 times faster than YouTube and can stream up to 4K ultra high-quality video resolution. It offers a wide variety of content, including movies, documentaries, TV series, and Sierra Leonean dramas. Users can stream from 360p to 4K resolution.

Sierraflixx also has a parental control feature, allowing users to regulate what their children may be viewing. This makes it the only streaming platform in Sierra Leone with such a feature.

In addition to streaming, Sierraflixx also creates profiles and biographies for actors while uploading their content to create an online presence for them through the IMDb (Internet Movie Database)¹.

The platform is accessible on all smart devices via the internet and the mobile app, both on Android and iOS devices². Subscribers can access and watch an unlimited pool of Sierra Leonean movies, documentaries, TV shows, etc., at all times, at their convenience, from both home and abroad.

Sierraflixx was founded with the intention to give Sierra Leoneans and Africans the platform to showcase their contents and also make money from them². It provides business models that enable content creators to earn from their products/contents.
