Two Cuban journalists and broadcasters, Enrique Dausá and Rigoberto Ferrera Álvarez, brought to Spain in 1972 this completely new formula for radio news, inspired by the Cuban Radio Reloj, the oldest continuous information chain in the world.
This unique and highly successful format on Spanish radio turns 50 and, to celebrate it, Radio Hora is expanding its broadcast, going from being just a morning news program (directed and presented by Gerardo Quintana) to a 24-hour station with information, a careful national and international musical selection and, as always, with the exact time and its characteristic tick tock that marks the passage of time.
