Spreading Portuguese culture and language is an obvious goal - it's the main reason
for Camões TV's existence. To maintain the ancestral links to Portugal alive.
Promoting a greater appreciation of the Portuguese-Canadian community is a
constant focus. Showing who we are, what we have done, how we have influenced
and continue to contribute decisively to the construction of the
Canada of today. Promoting the socio-cultural and sporting activities of the
community's associations.
Attracting/Seducing/Integrating young Lusodescendants - without neglecting the
fulfilment of the previous objectives, this could be considered "THE" objective of

this channel. We feel it's an absolute priority to realise the need to pass on the best
we have to the younger generation. It's important that they understand that today,
Portugal is a modern, innovative country, although it never denies its history.

Camões TV's content will naturally cover community activities considered to be of
interest and of recognised relevance to the fulfilment of the channel's general
objectives but it will also give a lot of prominence to everything that happens in
Ontario that is of interest to the community living here.

Camões TV has a brand that sets it apart - we have a branch in Portugal
which produces regular cultural content (interviews, documentaries and reports)
that greatly enriches and will continue to enrich our programming.
