Abu Nawas or Abu Nuwas, is an Arabic poet whose real name is Abu Ali Al-Hasan bin Hani Al-Hakami. He was born in the city of Ahvaz, Iran in 756 AD, and died in 814 AD in the city of Baghdad, Iraq at the age of 58 during the Abbasid Caliphate.

Abu Nawas was born as an orphan. After the death of his father, Abu Nawas was then brought by his mother to the city of Basra, Iraq. There he studied several religious sciences such as the science of hadith, Arabic literature and the science of the Koran.

Abu Nawas is considered one of the greatest poets of classical Arabic literature. He is described as a wise and funny figure. Abu Nawas also appears several times in the story of One Thousand and One Nights.

Through humor that is witty but effective, he often criticizes the rulers (King / Caliph), such as during the Caliphate of Harun Al-Rashid. The criticism that hit but was made funny was what made the king unable to get angry, but able to understand what was conveyed.

Like Abu Nawas, Nasrudin Hoja is a Sufi figure who is believed to have lived around the 13th century in Turkey. Nasrudin usually appears with his unique donkey almost every time. Nasrudin Hoja, or "Hoja" itself means "teacher".

When he was young, he threw a lot of interesting tantrums to serve as a lesson to his friends. Until he grew up, he became a wise man. He lives in an ordinary neighborhood with everyday problems like arrogant rich people, crooked merchants and miserly neighbors.

But thanks to the gift of wisdom, he can direct them and give them lessons that become role models for all of us. With the wisdom entrusted to him as well, he is able to solve problems that seem very complicated even with very simple solutions.
