COMEDIG for PC

The game COMEDIG – Eu e os Media was developed within the scope of the COMEDIG project (PTDC/CED-EDG/32560/2017) and aims to contribute to the development of digital and media literacy among children and young people in primary education and to stimulate dialogue between children, young people and adults (teachers, parents) about the media.

The game COMEDIG – Eu e os Media is a game for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), developed within the scope of the COMEDIG project (PTDC/CED-EDG/32560/2017) and aims to contribute to the development of children's digital and media literacy and young people in primary education and to stimulate dialogue between children, young people and adults (teachers, parents) about the media.

By playing, children and young people can:
- learn about the different types of media, their characteristics, the languages ​​they use and the standards that govern their activity;
- reflect on the impact that the media and their messages have on society and the way they represent reality;
- become more aware and critical citizens in relation to their use of the media and the opportunities and risks involved in their use;
- learn to enjoy, responsibly and effectively, the forms of communication and entertainment offered by the media;
- learn to use the media to find useful and credible information and deepen knowledge on a wide range of topics.


Suggestions for the teacher:
- The game COMEDIG – Eu e os Media can be used as an educational resource by primary school teachers, with the aim of promoting their students’ digital and media literacy.
- The use of this game by teachers can be combined with the use of the manual prepared within the scope of the COMEDIG project, entitled Media Education in Practice: Manual for Teachers.
