The Jae project emerged from a conversation between teachers from the Teykue village, in the municipality of Caarapó in Mato Grosso do Sul, and the CAPI team. From this dialogue came the need to survey, collect and make available the cultural heritage of the Kaiowá and Guarani, especially for students from indigenous schools. The proposal also foresees the possibility of being a collaborative project from this first stage, that is, a space in which teachers and students can insert contents according to their research and discoveries. Soon, they will be able to play the role of protagonists in the research and surveys that will still be carried out and inserted, it is a dynamic and living project, as is culture.
After several surveys, the project separated cultural heritage into three major themes: Material Culture, Intangible Culture and Natural Resources and it was only possible due to its selection by the 2017 public notice of the Fund for the Defense and Reparation of Diffuse and Damaged Interests - Funles, from the government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.
