SpecOps:Redacted for PC

Getting bored of playing match after match of your favourite online FPS? Why not try SpecOps:Redacted, an overarching mini-campaign that ups the ante of your FPS gaming session. With each match building to a climatic finale of world salvation or Nuclear Armageddon.

Challenges
After each round in SpecOps:Redacted the player is given a Challenge Card, which applies to their next match. With over 15 unique challenges of varied difficulty, such as the ‘Spartan’ challenge card (where the player must have have a positive kill to death ratio) or the ‘Peasant’ challenge card (where you can only use your secondary weapon or any picked up).

Progression
With a full progression system, including over ten military rank promotions such as ‘Master Sergeant’, ’Lieutenant’ and ‘General’, each with an accompanying military star ranking. You simply level up with each successful Operation thwarting Nuclear Armageddon, but be warned, you will be demoted for each Operation you lose.

Getting Started
Playing the game is simple and straight-forward, from the main menu to start a new game, select the “Operation” button, this will load you into the operation where the game is played.

In the middle of the screen, there are three objective bars. On normal difficulty (set in the “Settings” screen) you start from the middle bar and if you win your next FPS match you turn the middle bar green or if you lose, turn it red. You can change the colour of the bar by simply pressing it. The aim is to turn all the objective bars green and prevent them from turning red. Example round, you win your fist match and turn the middle bar green, you win your second match and turn the top bar green thus winning the round.

At the end of each round, you will get a challenge card for your next match, you must complete this challenge and win the match otherwise it is classed as a loss. Additionally at the end of a round, you will get an ‘Intel Folder’ a green one at the bottom to denote a round win or a red one at the top for a round loss. Win three rounds to win the game, but lose three rounds and it’s Nuclear Armageddon.
