Allah SWT sent Rasulullah SAW to this world with religion, so that human life is more directed. As the former governor of Aceh Mr. Mustafa Abu Bakar said when giving a speech at the birthday celebration of the great Prophet Muhammad SAW at Wisma Foba: "With religion our lives will be more focused, with science and technology our lives will be easier and with customs and culture our lives will be more beautiful."

The friends studied religion directly from Rasulullah SAW, whenever there was a problem in religion, they could ask directly to the Prophet SAW, so that some of the friends became references for other friends, such as Abu Bakar As-Siddiq, Umar bin Khathab, Usman bin Affan, Ali bin Abi Talib. Ibn Mas'ud, Muaz bin Jabal, Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar, and others.

After Rasulullah SAW died, many of his friends moved to remote parts of the country to preach Allah's religion, such as Ibn Abbas in Mecca, Ibn Umar in Medina, Ibn Mas'ud in Kufah, Muaz bin Jabal in Yemen.

When faced with a case that is not contained in the Al-Quran and Sunnah, they make ijtihad, and their ijtihad is used as a reference by their students.

Their ijtihad is what is called a school of thought, so we hear the term Ibn Umar school in Medina, Ibn Abbas school in Mecca and the Ibn Mas'ud school in Kufah.

Then the students of the Companions or called Tabi'in, they teach their teacher's School to their students again who are called tabi'ut Tabi'in, continue like that, so that their School reaches us.

In this small book, the author wants to describe how the Shafi'i School has developed from generation to generation, who are the figures involved in it, and what are the factors that influence it.
