In Islamic history, the formulation of fiqh was carried out after the death of the Prophet SAW, namely the period of the Companions. Meanwhile ifu, ushul fiqh as a method of extracting law (istibath), was only structured as a field of knowledge in the 2nd century H. However, Islamic jurists admit that ushul fiqh appeared together with the birth of fiqh.

We purposely present this Fiqh book, bearing in mind that the majority of Indonesian Muslims are more inclined towards the Syafi'i school of thought. For this Indonesian edition, we have chosen a manuscript that has been tahqiq by Muhammad Najib Al Muthi'i.

Finally, we also hope to Allah, that this effort will be rewarded by Him. We also expect suggestions and criticism from various parties for the perfection of this valuable work.
