Father Guillermo Jünemann was born in Westphalia in 1856 and emigrated to Chile being very small, where he lived all his life.

It was Priest and the first translator of the Holy Scriptures in Latin America. He translated the Bible from the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament), the Bible used by the early Christian communities.

The First Testament was published in 1928, leaving the Old Testament unpublished until 1992, when was published the entire Bible.
