Al-Wujuh wa An-Nazhair in the Koran

One of the things that many people don't realize is that the holy book Al-Quran is very unique in the use of language and the choice of terms. Even though someone is smart and understands Arabic, that does not mean that he definitely understands and understands the contents of the Al-Quran.

One of the reasons is because the Al-Quran often uses certain terms in Arabic, but the use of these terms and their meanings are not always in line with the meaning in language.

And we know that usually terms in a language can sometimes change with the changing times.

As an example we can mention the term prayer. If we do a search using a computer, we will find no less than 60 times the word prayer appears in the Quran.

But if we explore them one by one, it turns out that not all of them have the same meaning. Some of these actually mean the prayers we know, namely rituals of worship that involve standing, bowing and prostrating. However, some of the other prayer words actually have very different meanings from their original meanings.

And when the meaning of the prayer is indeed the ritual prayer that we know, it doesn't always mean the five daily prayers. Sometimes what is meant is a different prayer, it may even be that the meaning is completely outside the meaning of prayer.

All of this was then written down as a branch of knowledge which is part of the Al-Quran Science family with a term almost agreed upon by scholars throughout the ages, namely al-wujuh wa an-nazhair (ÇáæÌæå æÇáäØÇÆÑ).

This little book is compiled by the author only to be able to see it at a glance, not yet equipped with further data. The point is that those of us who are still beginners can easily follow and understand it.
