How the game works:

The Ludo game starts with four tokens in each player's starting box. A dice is rolled in turns by each player during the game. The player's token will be placed on the starting point when a 6 is rolled on the dice. The game's main goal is to take all 4 tokens inside the HOME area before the other opponents.

Game rules:

Ludo Rule 1: The Number of Players

Ludo games can be played between two to four players. Ludo Star can be played with two players or four players. Each player is assigned a specific colour at the start.

Ludo Rule 2: Pawn Movement

Navigation of the pawns on the board is done corresponds to the score the player gets on his dice every turn. For example, a score of three on the dice means the player can move the token (pawn) up by three places on the board. Every player starts the game with four tokens in their respective starting zones. The first player to eject all tokens from the starting zone and successfully navigate them into the end zone is declared the winner.

Ludo Rule 3: Releasing the Pawns

A score of 6 or 1 is required to release a pawn from the starting area. Until the player gets their first 6 or 1, he/she won’t be able to take any action, since no pawns will be available to move. After the first token is released, every 6 or 1-player score will give a player the option to either release a new pawn or move the existing pawn on the board.

Ludo Rule 4: Elimination of Opponents’ Pawns

If a pawn lands on a square occupied by a different coloured pawn, the latter gets eliminated from the route and is hauled back into its home area. To bring the different coloured pawn out of the home area, the player must once again release it to the starting point by scoring a 6 or 1. If a player cuts an opponent’s pawn, he/she is awarded a bonus roll for that turn.

Ludo Rule 5: Lead Your Pawns Home

A pawn enters the home zone when it completes its entire track, i.e. from the starting point to its respective coloured home area. The coloured home area consists of six squares, with the last one being the end zone, where the coin retires from the game. The objective is to get all four pawns to the end zone.
