Ballun xUP is a match-based puzzle game where players interact with a grid of balls. The objective is to identify and shoot pairs of identical balls on the playing field. Each time two matching balls are shot, the balls transition to the next level, becoming more challenging. Specifically, the first-level balls double in number while the second-level balls vanish after being shot. This increases the complexity of the game as it progresses.

The game includes four distinct boosters: magnifier, magnet, bomb, and swap. They can be used to assist the player during gameplay. The magnifier enlarges ball pairs, making them easier to identify, while the magnet draws similar balls together. The bomb clears a selected area, and the swap booster allows players to exchange the positions of two balls. As the player advances through multiple levels, the difficulty increases with more balls, faster action, and additional challenges.

A dedicated menu provides access to a booster management area and settings for sound preferences. The pause and game over screens allow users to manage their session and either restart or return to the main menu. The game’s progression is tracked through a system with visual feedback on completed levels and available boosters.
